Acoustic Engineer (Specializing in Soundproofing and Sound Isolation Solutions)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Acoustic Engineer with expertise in soundproofing and sound isolation solutions to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing acoustic treatments to enhance sound quality and minimize noise in various environments. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored acoustic solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Acoustic Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement effective soundproofing and sound isolation solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Analyze architectural and structural designs to recommend appropriate acoustic treatments.
Noise Control Solutions:
Identify noise sources and design strategies for noise reduction and sound isolation.
Propose materials and technologies to achieve optimal acoustic performance.
Testing and Measurement:
Conduct on-site acoustic measurements and sound isolation testing.
Use advanced equipment to assess noise levels, reverberation, and sound transmission.
Project Collaboration:
Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate acoustic solutions seamlessly into project designs.
Provide technical advice on construction techniques for soundproofing and acoustic insulation.
Research and Development:
Stay updated on advancements in soundproofing materials, technologies, and industry standards.
Evaluate and test new products for their effectiveness in noise control and sound isolation.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports, technical drawings, and specifications for acoustic treatments.
Document project progress, challenges, and solutions for stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all acoustic solutions comply with local, national, and international soundproofing and isolation regulations.
Conduct audits to verify adherence to acoustic standards during and after project completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustic Engineering, Audio Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience specializing in soundproofing and sound isolation solutions.
Strong knowledge of acoustic principles, sound transmission class (STC) ratings, and noise reduction techniques.
Proficiency in acoustic modeling and analysis software (e.g., EASE, SoundPLAN, Odeon).
Hands-on experience with soundproofing materials, technologies, and construction methods.
Skilled in using sound measurement tools such as sound level meters and spectrum analyzers.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in acoustics or noise control (e.g., Institute of Acoustics membership).
Experience in architectural acoustics, environmental noise management, or vibration control.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Work Environment:
Office-based with regular site visits for inspections and testing.
Occasional travel required to oversee project execution and meet with clients
